Team Report- Tri-Meet and CRTC

Whitby and Markham – There have been some remarkable performances at the in-house Tri-Meet and Central Region Small Teams Champs.

Specifically, Greg Peckham qualified for Provincials in 100 and 200 backstroke (CRTC), Claire Allen qualified for Festivals in 200 IM (CRTC), Liam Walsh qualified for Festivals in 100 and 200 fly (CRTC), Ian Johnson qualified for Provincials in 200 breaststroke (CRTC), Ben Potvin made the 15-17 club record in 100 IM (1’03.56 – In-House) and Ethan Placek made the 15-17 club record in 200 IM (2’10.03 – CRTC).

Team Report-40th Annual Cindy Nicholas Meet

Markham, ON- The meets keep getting better!  The Cindy Nicholas meet in Markham showed a lot of best times, good races in the pool, and a lot of improvement on technical aspects worked on during practice, such as breakouts and race strategies. During the meet, Coach Olivier said he felt like all of the team was working together towards new goals and displayed a real team spirit! Thumbs up!

Introducing the Dolphin Swimmer Mentorship Program!

Competitive swimming is often one of the most rewarding and beneficial endeavors for kids who choose to take the journey, however, it does have a steep learning curve from stroke improvement, to meet management to balancing swimming, school and other commitments. The objective of the Dolphins Swimmers Mentorship Program is to develop our senior swimmers team and leadership skills while benefiting our novice and younger junior swimmers by better preparing them for the challenges of competitive swimming.
